Welcome to the official website of the 54th European Mathematical Genetics Meeting (EMGM)!
We are delighted to host this year’s meeting in Davos, Switzerland, from April 14 - 15, 2026.
Davos is the highest town in Europe, located at 1,560 meters in the Swiss Alps. It is known both as an international conference and sports destination. In April, the weather can be variable, ranging from sunny spring days to occasional snowfall, so participants are advised to bring warm clothing and suitable footwear.
The EMGM is an annual scientific conference that brings together researchers working at the intersection of statistics, mathematics, and human genetics. EMGM 2026 will continue the tradition of fostering collaboration and innovation in the field by providing a platform for early-career and established scientists to present their latest research, exchange ideas, and explore new directions in genetic epidemiology, statistical genetics, and related disciplines. The meeting features invited talks, contributed presentations, and informal discussions in a collegial and interactive setting.
The 54th edition of EMGM will cover a broad range of topics, including:
Rare variant analysis
Fine-mapping, gene-, tissue-, and pathway-enrichment methods
Machine learning and AI for omics
Trait prediction and personalized health
Complex trait genetics
Integrative omics
Population genetics
and more.
We look forward to welcoming researchers to two days of inspiring presentations, discussions, and networking in the beautiful Swiss Alps.
Prizes for presentations and posters
Four prizes will be awarded, two for the best presentations and two for the best posters. The winners will be selected by the scientific committee and will be anounced at the end of the conference.
